Insured local movers for apartments, units and homes in Elwood. Careful crews, clear hourly rates and no hidden costs on moving day.
Since 2013 we’ve moved Elwood families and renters, from Art Deco flats near the beach to family homes along the canal. Here’s why locals keep coming back.
Studio flat or family home, every Elwood move gets a careful crew and full insurance.
Elwood is a leafy beachside suburb in the City of Port Phillip, known for Elwood Beach, the canal and the village shops on Ormond Road and Glen Huntly Road. Many homes are 1930s Art Deco flats with stairs and no lift, along with Edwardian houses and Californian bungalows on narrow streets. Parking is tight and many streets have permit zones, so we apply to Port Phillip Council for a parking permit early and bring stair trolleys for walk-ups. You pay by the hour with a two-hour minimum, and you get a written quote first. GST, insurance and free boxes are included, and we never add fuel levies or stair fees.

Choose your moving day and confirm the details. We plan the rest.
Our crew arrives on time and wraps, loads and moves your items with care.
We unload and put every item where you want it.
It takes about a minute to start. We do the rest.
Whether you’re moving one street away or across Melbourne, we take care of every part of your move.
We move apartments, units, townhouses and houses of any size. You get a truck that fits your load and a crew sized to your move. We protect stairwells, floors, walls and doorframes, which matters in older Elwood flats. All our movers are trained and background-checked, and they handle your things with care.
We can pack for you using strong boxes for books, bubble wrap for glass and plates, wardrobe boxes for clothes and picture boxes for art. Every box is labelled by room so unpacking is easy. Free boxes come with every booking, and if you pack yourself, we’ll collect the ones you don’t use.
We move pianos, safes, pool tables and gym equipment with piano dollies, stair trolleys and heavy-duty straps, even up narrow walk-up stairs. These items are insured at no extra cost. Mention them when you ask for a quote so we bring the right crew and tools.
We move offices, cafés, shops and IT equipment for local businesses. Book after hours or on a weekend to keep your doors open. Every job has a supervisor and a clear plan, and when we finish we walk through with you to check everything is in place.

How much your Elwood move costs depends on the size of your home, any stairs or walk-up access, where the truck can park and how much you’re moving. You’ll get a written hourly quote within 2 hours. GST, insurance and free boxes are included, with no hidden fees.
Yes. Every Elwood move comes with goods-in-transit and public liability insurance at no extra cost. Your belongings are covered from the time we load the truck until we unload at your new home. If your building manager needs a certificate of currency before the move, we’ll send it to them.
Yes. A lot of Elwood’s Art Deco flats have stairs and no lift, and we move people in and out of them every week. We bring stair trolleys and padding to protect stairwells and walls. For bulky pieces that won’t fit around tight corners, we take them apart and put them back together. When you book, tell us which floor you’re on and we’ll send the right size crew.
Try to book 2 to 3 weeks ahead. Weekends, the end of the month and the end of a lease fill up quickly. Booking early also gives us time to sort out a Port Phillip parking permit for your street. For a short-notice move, give us a call and we’ll check which crews are free.
Yes. A lot of Elwood streets have permit parking and not many free spots, especially close to the beach and the Ormond Road shops. We apply to the City of Port Phillip for your parking permit and lodge it early, so a space is kept for the truck right outside your door. You don’t need to do anything.
